Deuteronomy 32:15-18

15 “ ^aBut ^{▼▼I.e., Israel}Jeshurun became fat and kicked--
You have become fat, thick, and obstinate--
^cThen he abandoned God ^dwho made him,
And ^{▼▼Lit declared void}rejected ^fthe Rock of his salvation.
16 “ ^gThey made Him jealous with strange gods;
^hWith abominations they provoked Him to anger.
17 “ ⁱThey sacrificed to demons, who were not God,
^jTo gods whom they have not known,
^kNew gods who came lately,
Whom your fathers did not know.
18 “You forgot ^lthe Rock who fathered you,
^mAnd forgot the God who gave you birth.
